POLYCOM APPOINTS APAC PRESIDENT

Former APAC head of sales for Juniper and long-time Microsoft executive Geoff Thomas has been appointed President, Polycom Asia Pacific.
Thomas has an extensive background in the technology industry spanning more than 20 years, and will be responsible for leading Polycom’s regional sales strategy and driving growth. At Juniper, Thomas led the company’s enterprise business across the APAC region and at Microsoft, held several leadership roles including that of general manager in the Asia Communications sector from 2008 to 2011.
Polycom CEO Peter Leav says the Asia Pacific market has unique opportunities as more organisations discover the benefits of video, voice and content collaboration. “Geoff will place renewed emphasis on strengthening our partnerships and providing our customers with the industry’s best experience,” he says.
