Pexip has announced support for the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, with a major upgrade to its Infinity meeting and interoperability platform.

The Infinity platform allows organisations to improve work efficiency by simply enabling everyone in organisations of any size to benefit from visual communication and collaboration tools. Infinity works as a software-based video and audio interoperability bridge between standards based videoconferencing systems. It also adds plug-in free WebRTC and ORTC compatibility to extend the use of existing solutions to any available web browser, so customers can engage in real time videoconferencing using any device or platform from virtually any vendor.

“We see an exponential increase in demand for our Infinity platform to solve interoperability challenges between customers’ existing video and audio communications solutions” said Åsmund O. Fodstad, Pexip CEO. “Enabling Pexip Infinity on Microsoft Azure is a natural step in providing our customers with simple and cost effective collaboration solutions.”

Pexip Infinity’s native support for Azure inherently grants the value-add benefits of the Microsoft cloud. IT organisations and business executives already rely on Azure’s features: hyperscale cloud, leading management solutions, monitoring, and analytics capabilities, as well as industry-leading levels of security, privacy and control, compliance and transparency. Each of these value propositions are directly extended to Pexip deployments, aligning IT workflows under a single umbrella.

In addition to enabling Pexip Infinity to be deployed on Azure, the new release also includes over 25 other functionality and user experience enhancements.
