Kramer Electronics has announced the introduction of its full VIA product line including the award-winning Collage, Connect PRO and Connect. The wireless collaboration devices provide a shared workspace that simplifies real-time collaboration.
“We are very excited about the introduction of the VIA family of products because BYOD, collaboration and wireless applications are increasingly critical in today’s converging AV/IT world,” says CEO Dr Joseph Kramer. “The VIA line of products offer the best solutions in the market and we are pleased to add these products to our already comprehensive line of solutions.”
The VIA Collage won multiple audiovisual media Best in Show awards at InfoComm 2014 and is Kramer’s most advanced collaboration hub, solving BYOD challenges and allowing the integration of PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices. Files can easily be shared between participants or with all participants at once, and an HDMI input allows full 1080p/60 HD video streaming. Up to six presenter screens can be displayed on a single display device, or up to 12 when two display devices are used. It supports third party applications including Skype, Go To Meeting, Lync, WebEx and PowerPoint, and features built-in 1024-bit encryption for information sent between the Collage and the meeting participants, as well as a dynamic room code to prevent unauthorised participation in the meeting. The digital canvas created by the Collage allows meeting participants to all work on the same document in real time and save the results to their device.
The VIA Connect PRO allows users to share files, chat with other attendees and collaborate together on a shared document using the whiteboard feature from their own devices, in addition to being able to present their screens simultaneously. The VIA Connect is a value-oriented, wireless presentation hub that can tile up to four users on a single screen and allows and attendee to step-in as the main presenter.
