BIAMP AT INFOCOMM 2019

By

13 June 2019

Biamp is introducing its TesiraCONNECT room expander at InfoComm 2019 (booth 3742). The TesiraCONNECT device is a five-port AVB connection box that simplifies the Biamp conference room by providing power and media over a single cable between Biamp AVB DSPs, USB extenders, PoE+ amplifiers, and microphones.

“As Biamp’s family of processors and peripherals grows, integrators have been asking for a simple, dependable device to connect and power them. TesiraCONNECT fills that need,” said Biamp’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Joe Andrulis. “Simply plug up to five AVB devices into the expander and they’re connected and ready to work. If you need more than five connections, multiple expanders can be daisy-chained. TesiraCONNECT is the ideal appliance for the conference room to connect Parlé microphones, PoE+ amplifiers and desono loudspeakers, EX-UBT USB extenders, and TesiraFORTÉ conferencing system.”

TesiraCONNECT is the central connection point for all Biamp devices in the conference room, and offers the following features:

  • Five RJ-45 Ports, four of which are PoE+ powered
  • Daisy-chain up to four TesiraCONNECT devices for expansion up to four PoE+ amplifiers connecting up to 32 desono speakers and 12 Parlé beamtracking microphones.
  • Small Form Factor (14.7cm x 14.7cm x 2.8cm and weighs only 0.8kg. Easily mounts under a table, in a cabinet, or behind the monitor
  • Fully compatible with Biamp’s SageVue management and monitoring system for ease of management
  • Simple Interface — all the ports are located in the back, reserving the front for status indicator lights

Biamp Extends Availability of Parlé Beamtracking Microphones With Support for Devio

Biamp has expanded the spaces in which its award-winning Parlé Beamtracking microphones can be deployed by adding support for Devio. The Devio small conference and huddle room system, being featured at InfoComm 2019 (booth 3742), will now be available with the new TCM-X ceiling or TTM-X tabletop Parlé microphones in addition to the existing TCM-1 pendant option. This combines Devio’s easy, single-cable connectivity to all room peripherals with Parlé’s industry-leading audio quality, delivering Biamp’s full conference room audio and video in an elegant unified communication solution that is easy to install, manage, and control.

“We have received an extraordinary response to our Parlé microphones. Our Beamtracking technology provides unparalleled coverage that naturally complements Devio and the needs of huddle room environments,” said Biamp’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Joe Andrulis. “By adding Parlé X-series support to Devio, we are delivering on our promise to provide customers with end-to-end solutions that meet the entirety of an organisation’s AV requirements in all space types.”

The TCM-X is a low-profile, ceiling mounted microphone housed within a discrete enclosure that blends subtly into the ceiling. For rooms where a tabletop microphone is desirable, the TTM-X is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, minimising the amount of table space it occupies. Both models feature four 90-degree Beamtracking zones, delivering dynamic 360-degree room coverage, while granting participants freedom of movement throughout the room. The Parlé mics use only one channel of acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) for a far more efficient processing resource utilisation than competing beamforming microphones.

Designed for BYOD spaces, Devio is a cost-effective, easy-to-use platform that gives full access to a room’s peripherals to all common computers and phones. A single cable connects a meeting participant’s laptop to the technology within the space, providing instant access to the room’s displays, speakers, microphone, web camera, and other tools. Integrators and technology managers will benefit from the Auto Setup feature that quickly validates device connections, adjusts room levels, and sets speaker EQ to optimise audio quality. Delivered as a bundled professional audio and video package, Devio eliminates all the pain points of system design, installation, and programming.

Continuing its mission to bring extraordinary audio experiences to the entire enterprise through best-in-class audio and ease of installation, Biamp is launching the next phase of its desono speaker family with a new constant-voltage, in-ceiling sound reinforcement speaker. The IC6 medium-format, in-ceiling loudspeaker is designed to deliver full-range music in larger common areas, including airports, warehouses, casinos, and factories. With the addition of the IC6, the Tesira platform now offers an end-to-end solution for both conferencing and sight and sound reinforcement (SSR) applications.

“At ISE 2019, we’re introducing our desono conference speakers and successfully extended our audio reach from microphone to loudspeaker,” said Biamp’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Joe Andrulis. “Now we’re focusing our commitment to end-to-end quality audio across the entire organisation by adding a 70-volt/100-volt in-ceiling option. Where designers and integrators have a sea of speakers that are grouped into a single zone, the preferred choice is a constant-voltage speaker. With desono, they can specify Biamp for sound reinforcement and conferencing applications in the same installation.”

For SSR applications, the new desono IC6 6-inch in-ceiling loudspeaker delivers high intelligibility with wide uniform coverage and helpful design features, such as blind mount and an easy-to-install, removable magnetic grill. It features a six-position; constant-voltage 70V/100V tap (1.8, 3.8, 7.5, 15, 30, and 60) with an 8Ω bypass, allowing designers the flexibility to specify the exact number of speakers needed.

The full line of desono speakers delivers superior audio across all spaces — from conferencing to SSR to common spaces. The P6 and P6-SM pendant speakers, introduced earlier this year, are available in a traditional raindrop or a bolder low-profile form factor, making them ideal for applications that require background and foreground music or paging. The original C-IC6 low-impedance, in-ceiling speakers are designed specifically for conferencing spaces that demand superior speech reproduction.
