About the Role
This is an ideal time to join Digital Workplace Services and take on a vital role in delivering our high-profile teaching spaces lifecycle programme. You will work closely with the AV endpoints domain and external vendors to execute projects and assist with other faculty projects when needed. You’ll also collaborate with senior engineers to manage the current fleet of AV servers, providing control for AV equipment across the university. Your excellent understanding of AV platforms will support the network teams in testing any firewall or network changes that could potentially affect AV endpoints.

The programme’s goal is to refurbish over 70 teaching spaces with the latest AV technology, including Crestron NVX and ceiling microphones, enabling hybrid teaching and learning. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge AV technology, such as dante, a centralized AV control system, and an online monitoring system integrated with our ServiceNow ITSM tools. You will not only develop expertise in the latest technologies and systems but also gain valuable experience working with various senior stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful contribution to a project that will have a significant impact on teachers, students, and alumni.

Who we are looking for
We are seeking individuals who can showcase strong organizational and prioritization skills. You should be able to complete tasks in a timely manner to meet client needs. Strong stakeholder management is also crucial, as you will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and external vendors. Therefore, excellent communication skills are a must, enabling you to translate technical terminology into easily understandable language.

You’ll also have:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience required by AV endpoints within Digital Workplace Services, Crestron and Extron certification are desirable.
  • Deep understanding on the latest audio technology and experience implementation in large enterprise such as university or financial institutions.
  • Understanding of integration between applications with restful API is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of server management in both Redhat and Microsoft servers.
