Novatech Creative Event Technology (Novatech) is giving SA graphic designers and creatives the opportunity to make an impression on the global stage through an innovative competition —  a first within the AV industry.

The Design a Novatech ‘Roadcrew’ T-shirt competition is aimed at giving global exposure to South Australia’s thriving pool of creative talent. It will do this by harnessing the tradition of ‘crew’ exchanging t-shirts at the end of major concerts around Australia and using that exchange to generate exposure across the globe.

Leko Novakovic, Managing Director of Novatech: “We work with some of the biggest acts in the world. I want this competition to not only showcase the creative talent right here in SA but generate exposure across the globe,” he said.

Two hundred t-shirts will be sequentially numbered and feature the winning design. Labels will also feature the winning designer name and their social media handles. The t-shirt will be promoted through the industry and media alike, and the face that there’ll only be 200 of them should mean they’ll become a collectable item within the industry.

The designer behind the winning design will win a year’s worth of VIP tickets to some of the best concerts, sporting events and festivals in Adelaide. These may include VIP tickets to the Laneway Festival or watching a headline act from the side stage at WOMADelaide, or get excited at the AFL showdown and enjoy hospitality and pre-game appearances by coaches and legends of the game – the winner can create their perfect social calendar for 2017.
