Studio Technologies has added to its Dante-capable tools with the Model 5414 mic/line input & output interface, offering a simple means of interfacing analogue signals with applications that utilise the Dante networking protocol.

The 1U rack unit allows four microphone or line-level sources to be hooked up for conversion to digital and then output via Dante. Gain, high-pass filtering, and 48V phantom power can be selected as required. Four signals arriving by way of Dante can be converted to analogue and output as balanced line-level signals. A monitor section lets you selectively listen in on the input and output signals using meters and a headphone output. Designed for both broadcast and live-event applications, the Model 5414 is installation-friendly while being lightweight enough for mobile and field use. All input and output connections are standard XLRs and the unit is powered via direct AC mains.
