Baanto International announced the production release of the ShadowSense LightSpeed touchscreen products. Releasing to production now, the ShadowSense products now support multiple configurations for TFT panels. The new products significantly extend the breadth of coverage for standard TFT LCD sizes currently available and accommodate a broader range of user requirements. One class of products is slightly oversized to support the Windows 8 border area. Slightly smaller versions of the touch frames in the same size class are targeted at applications using earlier versions of Windows as well as Linux, Android, and Mac operating systems. Features include Plug and Play with no drivers or touch applications required, real time tracking of up to six touch points and real time touch point size calculation. The system responds to almost every solid touch object – eliminating the need for bare finger touching, which can be especially important in a public venue.
