Career Opportunity: Staging & Commissioning Technician

Pro AV Solutions is immediately seeking the services of a highly motivated individual to join our Professional Services Team, as an Audio-Visual Staging and Commissioning Technician located in our Kelvin Grove Office. You will be supporting our overall deployment process working alongside our established team to enhance our Installation process.

You will preferably have experience in previous Commissioning roles, Installation, or programming in the Commercial Audio Video space. You must have good technical knowledge, be highly motivated, and have an interest or experience in the technology industry. A high level of attention to detail, and a can-do attitude will be your greatest asset.

The Role

To succeed in this role, you will have structured support and leadership, and you will be appropriately trained to deliver quality outcomes.

The role will focus on staging and commissioning Audio-Visual Systems to achieve project outcomes, this includes:

  • Organise system components and products for assembly and pre-build within the workshop.
  • Configure, deploy, and functionally test network-based hardware and software.
  • Interpret AV signal drawings and scopes of work to reasonably assume function and user experience of an AV system from a hardware perspective.
  • Provide feedback to engineers and project management on experiences with products, schedules, programming, estimation, and overall quality control for the AV systems we integrate.
  • System testing, optimisation, documentation, and packaging prior to deployment
  • Commission deployed systems against ProAV best practice, and the system needs analysis / acceptance criteria.
  • Provide User training and familiarisation.
  • Defect Tracking and Rectification

  • Demonstrate a base-level of IT and AV skills.
  • Well organised, with good time management and a strong focus on attention to detail.
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and a genuine interest in assisting people.

  • Have the capability to work as part of a high-performance team.
  • Be reliable and trustworthy.
