Pre-Sales Engineer/Post-Sales Support – Building Automation.

A rare opportunity to join a leading technology distributor, representing top technology brands and working with systems integrators and consultants in the building automation sector across Australia. In this role you will be the technical subject matter expert and go-to person for KNX standard building automation solutions on larger commercial, residential and mixed use developments. To succeed, you will need to utilise your extensive knowledge of automation technologies in building, and be able to design solutions, support deployment (installation and commissioning), engage with customers (such as systems integrators, electrical contractors, end-user client organisations) and present your solution alongside BDMs and account managers. This is a technical post-sales support and pre-sales role where you will be a trusted advisor giving customers the confidence to buy technology solutions with the knowledge that you will be there to support them in design and implementation. You will build relationships with customers as you assist them on projects and give continued post-sales support. As you support customers you will build a library of common support issue resources, allowing customers to self-support when possible. You will be given the autonomy and trust, as well as great support from technically aware sales professionals and technical support from vendor partners, to succeed in the role- which means helping achieve realistic revenue and growth targets, alongside excellent levels of customer support. Skills Required

This role requires someone with excellent pre-sales skills (system design, solution presentation, technical sales), post-sales solution support skills (installation/commissioning support and troubleshooting) and a proven track record in successfully supporting sales professionals. Strong knowledge of building automation technologies and KNX standards is required, with the ability and credibility to consult with a client and produce a solution that meets their expectations and budget. You will be highly organised and able to manage a busy workload of support calls, system design, pre-sales presentations and meetings.
